Supporting Locally-Owned Businesses in Austin and Beyond

One of my favorite parts of traveling is supporting the local community while I’m there. By that, I mean shopping at local boutiques, eating at independently owned local restaurants, and spreading the word about how much I love that destination. Considering how everything has been this year, it’s more important than ever to support the tourism industry and small businesses, even if you can only travel across your own city. When staying at a hotel on a quick getaway, you’re still helping the local community just by being there. You’re supporting the hotel to keep locals employed and the city’s tourism industry alive.

Edinburgh, Scotland is easily one of my favorite cities to visit in the UK, if not all of Europe, which is probably why I keep coming back again and again! The Quick Guide to Tempe, Arizona

The city of Tempe is just east of Phoenix, and has a population of just under 200,000 people. It’s home to Arizona State University, or ASU, which is one of the largest universities in the United States, so during the school year, Tempe is lively and packed with thousands of students. Because of this, Tempe has a vibrant nightlife scene, and plenty of fun things to do during the day too! It’s the perfect destination for a weekend getaway or girls’ trip, or just some me-time.
