Have you ever thought about road tripping to Arkansas? I didn’t realize how much the state had to offer, but now that I’ve been, I can see why they call it The Natural State! I recently had the opportunity to do a 3-day weekend getaway to Little Rock and Hot Springs, Arkansas, and I wanted to share with y’all my itinerary from the trip, as well as my top picks for things to do, where to stay, and where to eat in each locale. The city of Tempe is just east of Phoenix, and has a population of just under 200,000 people. It’s home to Arizona State University, or ASU, which is one of the largest universities in the United States, so during the school year, Tempe is lively and packed with thousands of students. Because of this, Tempe has a vibrant nightlife scene, and plenty of fun things to do during the day too! It’s the perfect destination for a weekend getaway or girls’ trip, or just some me-time. Some top attractions include Tempe Town Lake, the various hiking trails in the area like Hayden Butte, and the delicious restaurants and dessert spots around town, like Ghost Ranch and The Crepe Bar. I recently had the chance to experience a long weekend exploring the two cities of Dallas and Forth Worth with Travel Texas to see what they’re all about. There are so many fun things to do in either city, that it was hard to pick what to include in this guide!
