A little rain doesn’t have to ruin your trip to NOLA. The good news is, there’s lots of fun activities to do in New Orleans that are indoors, from live music and great food to taking a cooking class – there’s always something you can find to do. I recently had the opportunity to stay at the brand new Radisson RED Portland Downtown thanks to my friends at Radisson Rewards and spend a few days exploring all that the city has to offer and finding all the fun things to do in Portland. From donuts to iconic signs to gardens, I curated this list of some of my favorite photo spots to spice up your ‘gram while you’re visiting PDX so that you never run out of things to do during your visit. There are so many great photo spots in Portland that it was hard to just choose a few for my list. Some of these are absolutely iconic to locals and tourists alike, like the Old Town Portland Sign, and others you may not have heard of before if you’re not a resident of Portlandia. So, behold: here are some of the most Instagrammable photo spots that Portland, Oregon has to offer.
It’s surprising to me how underrated a travel destination Wales is. With its beautiful landscapes, magnificent castles, and colorful coastal towns, Wales is about as dreamy as it gets. Scotland and Ireland always seems to get all of the love while Wales gets overlooked. But truly, my favorite castle is in Wales – Conwy Castle, which is the first on this list. Some of the prettiest coastal towns in the UK are in Wales, like Aberaeron and Llandudno, and they sure give places like Brighton, England a run for their money. There’s so much to explore that makes it worth more than just a day trip from London to Cardiff (though that’s fun to do as well). I had the opportunity with Visit Wales to spend a week driving down the coast of Wales, starting in Manchester, England (where we flew in), and finishing in Cardiff. Our route took us through towns like Conwy, Tenby, Aberystwyth, Caernarfon, and more. It was truly hard to just pick the best of the best beautiful photo spots for this guide, but I feel like I’ve included some of the most Instagrammable spots that Wales has to offer.
Truth: New Orleans is one of my favorite cities in the United States. Living in Austin, NOLA has always just been a short jaunt away and perfect for weekend getaways. Or, on long road trips to the East Coast as a kid, we’d pass through for a night and stop to get beignets at Cafe Du Monde. So you can see that I have a soft spot for the Big Easy. While you’re in NOLA, there are so many great Instagrammable spots that it’s hard to just choose a few. From the balconies of the French Quarter to the best beignets, here are a few of my picks for the best photo spots in New Orleans.

Coming to Mexico City for the season of Día de Muertos, aka Day of the Dead, is a pretty magical experience. Traditionally, Day of the Dead is associated with the dates of October 31 through November 2, but there are lots of events and things to do in Mexico City in the days leading up to it as well. For example, you can try a cooking class to learn how to make pan de muerto, or you can visit Casa Azul, the home of Frida Kahlo, to see the detailed ofrenda they put out for her. And you’ll find beautiful marigolds, also called cempazuchitl flowers, everywhere you go in the city.
Jarabacoa is a region that sits right in middle of the Dominican Republic. With its tropical climate and high elevation thanks to the Central Mountain Range, it has some of the most mild temperatures in the country, causing it to be dubbed The City of Everlasting Spring. Here, you’ll find rivers, mountains, and jungle, making it a perfect spot for an adventure vacation. From paragliding to rafting and more, here are just a few thrilling activities you can find in Jarabacoa to get your heart pumping.
I recently had the chance to visit Mexico City and during my trip I fell in love with how beautiful the city is. I never would have guessed just how many pretty photo spots Mexico City has to offer. Vancouver has been on my bucket list for quite awhile, so when my Alaska Seabourn cruise took me from Anchorage to Vancouver, I knew I had to stay a few extra days to explore the city.
