Last weekend, I had the pleasure of attending one of the coolest food events around – Hotel Thrillist presented by Chase Sapphire! This year the event was hosted in Nashville, a place known for its live music and good food. Hotel Thrillist showcased the best that Nashville had to offer in three days of dining, parties, and concerts. As a Chase Sapphire cardmember, I also had exclusive access to VIP lounges and even a private dinner throughout the weekend that made it all the more special. Check out Chase Experiences to see what future Chase Sapphire events are coming to your area.
Before Hotel Thrillist even started, I flew in a day early for a Chase Sapphire Private Dining Series event at Henrietta Red with fellow cardholders. The event started with welcome reception with hors d’oeuvres, and once we were seated, Chef Julia Sullivan talked about her inspiration for the restaurant and the night’s meal. The dinner was a set menu, with courses including their tomato salad, pork gnocchi, and red snapper. Chase Experiences like these are a unique way to get to try some of the best restaurants in cities around the U.S. with a personal touch. It’s also cool that you can book them with either dollars or your Ultimate Rewards points!
Day one of Hotel Thrillist started with a pool party at the Westin Nashville as everyone checked in. Then, we were shuttled to the BMI Rooftop for the main event – the Nashville Feast. This event was open to the public (with purchased tickets), and featured food from 24 Thrillist favorite local restaurants and live music. With my Chase Sapphire Preferred card, I also had access to the Chase Sapphire VIP Lounge at the event with its own open bar and comfy couches!
My personal favorite dish of the night was the hot chicken buns from Otaku Ramen. I couldn’t come to Nashville and not try their famous hot chicken after all! I also loved the “100 Layer Doughnuts” from Five Daughters Bakery and the brie grilled cheese sandwich from The Mockingbird.
The night ended with an after party at the Florida Georgia Line House downtown. Is it just me, or are you not really a country music star until you have your own bar and restaurant in Nashville?
Day two started off with an afternoon party, dubbed the Saturday Honky Tonk, at Jason Aldean’s bar. This was another party that was open to the public!
Then, it was time for the exclusive private Chase Sapphire dinner at Adele’s for cardmembers attending Hotel Thrillist. The dinner was served family style, with plates including crispy shrimp, grilled steak, gnocchi, and home-made meatballs.
From dinner, we were shuttled to the biggest party of the weekend – the Rockstar Mansion Party. This was an epic party at a local country star’s own house, complete with a private performance. Talk about partying in style! And then they upped the ante even more with a surprise club afterparty featuring a DJ set from David Macklovitch of Chromeo. It was the perfect way to finish out an amazing weekend of food, drinks, and live music!
Thanks Chase Sapphire for the amazing weekend at #HotelThrillist! I had a blast seeing all that Nashville has to offer and especially eating a lot of great food. I hope I get to return to Nashville to explore more in the near future!
