Austin has so many great Instagram spots, especially all of the amazing street art you can find around downtown. Some of the most famous murals in Austin include the I Love So Much wall on South Congress, the Austin postcard, and You’re My Butter Half on the East side, but there are plenty of other Instagrammable murals you can find too. Here’s some of the best mural photo spots and their exact locations in downtown Austin!

You’re My Butter Half
Address: 2000 E MLK Jr Blvd
You’re My Butter Half is absolutely iconic and quite possibly my favorite mural in Austin. Also the perfect spot for a quirky couple or engagement photo!
I Love You So Much
Address: 1300 S. Congress Ave
Did you even visit Austin if you didn’t go to the “I Love You So Much” mural at Jo’s Coffee on South Congress? This one gets quite busy sometimes, so be prepared to potentially have to wait a few minutes to snap your pic without a crowd.
Love From Austin
Address: 1912 South Congress Ave
I absolutely love the aesthetic of this mural, with the outline of the State of Texas in black and white with “Love From Austin” written in the center. A very cute spot for fashion/style shots as well!
Greetings From Austin
Address: 1702 S. 1st Street
Another contender for the top mural in Austin, you’ll find this one just a short walk away from South Congress over on South 1st Street. The Greetings From Austin Postcard Mural is one that you have to visit on any trip to Austin!
Hi, How Are You?
Address: 2100 Guadalupe St
While you’re over on UT campus and The Drag, make sure to stop by the famous Daniel Johnston “Hi, How Are You?” frog mural. Not only is it iconic to Austin, but is one of the most famous pieces of street art in America, if not the world.
Willie For President
Address: 1315 South Congress Ave
Austinites love to show their appreciation of local legend Willie Nelson, and this psychedelic Willie For President mural on SoCo is no exception.
The Rainbow
Address: 2nd and Brazos
Its actual name is Tau Ceti by international artist Josef Kristofoletti, but this giant rainbow is now Austin’s tallest public artwork at a whopping 103 feet tall. Expect to see it all over Instagram, because what’s better than a huge rainbow wall?
Historic 6th Street
Address: 6th Street & I-35
And while you’re downtown, head over to the historic 6th Street District to snap this large mural that is right next to the highway. This one is great if you’re looking for something vibrant that screams ATX.
‘Til Death Do Us Part
Address: E 7th & Waller
This smaller mural featuring skulls, roses, and “‘til death do us part” can be found on the East Side of Austin.
Living the Good Life in Austin, TX
Address: 1114 E Cesar Chavez St
The perfect mural if you’re looking for something bright and solid colored. How fun is that shade of teal?
Won’t You Be My Neighbor?
Address: 1423 S. Congress Ave
An ode to Mr. Rogers, this mural is on the side of the Home Slice Pizza building on South Congress.
Little Limbo
Address: 1700 S Congress Ave
This pastel pink wall is outside of the shop Little Limbo on South Congress! EDIT: Little Limbo is sadly closed now so this mural is now gone.
Let’s Band Together
Address: 1816 E 6th St
Another one on the East Side, the Let’s Band Together mural features a heart pumping out some music.
